Cusat BTech classes to start on Monday

The first year B.Tech Classes will resume at School of Engineering of Cochin University of Science and Technology from on Monday. Other BTech classes on Wednesday, informed Cusat registrar.

KOCHI: The first year B.Tech Classes will resume at School of Engineering of Cochin University of Science and Technology from Monday. Other BTech classes begin on Wednesday, said Cusat registrar.
The classes were suspended after a ragging incident was reported at the college.The teenager, who had slit his wrist at the university hostel on Monday, is reportedly is out of danger.
The teenager is a first year student of Cochin University Of Science and Technology.
In his statement, he said he was "physically assaulted, manhandled and threatened by seniors," the police said.
The students who harassed him repeatedly were members of the Students Federation of India, the youth wing of the CPM, he further said.
The PTA meeting of School of Engineering will be held on October 3 at the Placement Auditorium of School of Engineering at 10.00 AM according to the Principal, School of Engineering.
